On July 5, we launched Fund the Future, our back-to-school campaign, which ran until July 31. We set a goal of purchasing 112 new pairs of shoes from our Amazon Wish List and raising $16,000 for new uniforms and school supplies.
Our holistic Circle of Care for each child we serve compels us to both provide for their present and plan for their futures. Our hope was to make sure every school-age child in our care began the school year with what they needed. By God’s grace, and with support from our Hands & Feet Project community, we met 105% of our goal. That’s right — you gave above and beyond!
Take a look at what members of our Hands & Feet Project community had to say about this back-to-school initiative:
“Believing the Lord will multiply these gifts to meet and even EXCEED the goals you have set. Praying the upcoming school year will be fruitful and that these precious children will live and walk in the freedom and hope that can only come from Jesus Christ! May each teacher and leader be filled with supernatural wisdom and discernment as they pour the love of Jesus into these precious ones!”
“Donating in response to your email request. Helping kids, that’s what Jesus wants us to do, care for orphans and widows.”
“All children need the opportunity to succeed. May God continue to bless your students and caring staff.”
“Hands & Feet does a great job equipping and sustaining children in need while at the same time providing training and support for those desiring to work while being blessed by our Lord and Savior.”
We are unbelievably grateful to have a community who encourages us, prays with us, and practices generosity. It is a blessing to know that every student that we serve is ready to start the school year with confidence. We can’t wait to share our back-to-school pictures with you in September!
